Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore (VIT Vellore) is an
institute of eminence and a deemed university, situated in Vellore, Tamil Nadu.
It was established by G. Viswanathan as Vellore Engineering College in 1984.
The private institute offers 32 postgraduate, 43 undergraduate, two research
and four integrated programmes. It consists of 16 schools and has three other
campuses in Chennai, Amaravati and Bhopal. Over the years, the institution has
made its place amongst the country's leading engineering colleges.
The institute offers BTech,

Thapar Institute of
Engineering and Technology, previously known as Thapar University, is a private
institute deemed to be university, in Patiala. It was founded in 1956 by Karam
Chand Thapar. The institute has been granted full autonomy and the status of
deemed-to-be-university by the University Grants Commission.

Israel"s Tel Aviv University (TAU), covering research, teaching and

Birla Institute of
Technology & Science, Pilani is a deemed university under Section 3 of the
UGC Act 1956 for higher education and research in India. The institute is
backed by the Aditya Birla Group and is one of the first six institutes to be
awarded the Institute of Eminence status in 2018.
Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani is
counted amongst the country's most prestigious private higher education
institutes. This university of international standing traces its origin to 1901
when a small school 'Pathshala' was built in Pilani.
BITS was established as an
institute in 1964 with late Dr G.D. Birla as its founding chairman. Dr G.D.

Birla Institute of
Technology Mesra, commonly known as BIT Mesra, is a private deemed university,
affiliated toe. The institute was established in 1955 by the leading
industrialist and philanthropist, BM Birla and was granted the autonomous
status in 1972 under section 30 of UGC Act 1956.
